making your own natural dye inks and screen printing with them

£150.00

This day long workshop is intended for anyone interested in making their own simple screen printing inks. I am also offering this course on a one to one basis, so if you prefer you can book a day to suit you.

Using suitable plants from the garden, dry plant material and extracts, you will learn how to extract enough colour from the plant material, make up a suitable print binder and mix to form a colourful natural printing ink. The aim is to make a selection of 3 or more different coloured inks in the morning and screenprint a simple geometric design in the afternoon. Learning the basic principles of cutting a paper stencil and registering a multi coloured print.

A light lunch and refreshments are included. (Please give advice on any special dietary requirements)
