Come and join us on this 2 day course, with Alex Kathryn Interiors to make a lined and hand sewn 12” gathered lampshade.  Choose any of Madder Cutch & Co.’s fabrics, which we will print ready for the course on our softened white or natural linen.

Over the 2 days, you will learn how to bind your lampshade frame, gather and attach your fabric, prepare and stitch in your lampshade lining and finish in self-bias binding, ready to take home.

Alex has trained with and worked for a high-end soft furnishings workshop in the Cotswolds for several years and has now set up her own business making soft furnishings and lampshades for Interior Designers and Private clients. She has previously run teaching courses at Highgrove, Tetbury for The King’s Trust (formerly The Prince’s Trust).

All materials are provided along with a warm lunch and refreshments throughout the two days.

Location: The Madder Cutch & Co. studio in Stamford, Lincolnshire. Stamford is a beautiful Georgian market town with plenty of shopping and cafes. If you require over night accommodation, take a look here to plan your visit.
